The Brief
Installation of solar panels. The project was funded through the UKSPIF programme in partnership with Descerna and aimed to make the site more energy efficient while reducing long-term operational costs.
The Challenge
The venue’s operations could not be disrupted- timing was critical. The entire job, including scaffolding set-up, installation, and takedown, had to be completed between Monday and Friday. There was no flexibility, and the site had to remain fully operational by the weekend.
Our Approach
Boarder Electrical designed and installed a bespoke solar system tailored to the roof structure of the building. Careful planning and precise execution ensured the team worked within the tight timeframe, coordinating closely with scaffolding contractors to maintain full compliance and minimise any on-site disruption.
The Outcome
The full system was installed without interrupting Hornby Park’s schedule.
The venue now benefits from significantly lower energy bills.
A significant contribution to a meaningful reduction in the site’s carbon footprint, supporting its commitment to sustainability.
